Prayer Ministries

Prayer is an important part of the Christian life. We believe that God desires to be in communication with us, and that prayer is a powerful means of strengthening our relationship with God.

The Sanctuary is open the third Wednesday of the month, 5:30-7:30pm, for a simple, quiet time of prayer. You may sit for as long as you would like and pray alone, or you can ask one of our prayer team to pray with you. For information regarding this prayer ministry, contact Pastor Fawn Mikel by email or at 954.771.7300 x250.

Each month, Christ Church hosts a Taize style prayer service on the first Wednesday, at 7pm in the Fort Lauderdale Sanctuary. Traditional Worship Leader Chuck Stanley leads songs, scripture, prayer and meditation to draw closer to God. Click here for more information.

Two groups come together to pray regularly as well. Moms in Prayer meets 8:30-9:30am on the first and third Thursdays of each month. Experience God’s peace and hope when you pray alongside other moms. Katy Ferrando and Manuela Boynton gather moms together to pray for God to transform children and schools. Click here to email the leaders.

Grandmothers in Prayer meets 1:45-3pm on the second Thursday of each month during the school year. Grandmothers who want to replace anxiety and fear with peace and hope are invited to join other women to pray specifically and scripturally for children and schools. Email  leaders Diane Kanell or Pam McKinnon to learn more.

We also have a wonderful prayer team that daily lifts the needs of others to God. Each team member signs a covenant, committing to pray and adhere to strict confidentiality of all prayer requests.
