The members of the Helping Hands team perform simple home repairs at no cost to those unable to perform those tasks for themselves. They provide services such as changing light bulbs, simple plumbing, painting, pressure cleaning, and several other types of general house repairs.
Helping Hands volunteers also assist in preparing homes for hurricanes for those unable to do so for themselves. Team members will meet with home owners to plan the preparations needed in the early days of hurricane season. If a hurricane warning is issued, they will assist in securing the property and return to the home once the storm has passed and traveling is permitted to check on the homeowners and their property.
You can volunteer by being on a call list, or by joining the team during their quarterly team project days. To serve on this team, please click here to contact team leader Tony Ash.
