AFTERNOON ADVENTURES ASSISTANT COUNSELOR

Christ Church is seeking a part-time Afternoon Adventures Assistant Counselor to work with elementary school children. The hours are Monday through Friday, 2:15-5:30pm, and all day during full-day camps, Christmas camp, and Spring camp. Click here for upcoming full-day schedule.

Responsibilities include teaching bible lessons, supervising homework time and helping with other activities to lovingly direct children.

Skills needed: basic computer skills; creativity; organization; good/positive communication skills; ability to work well with a team/volunteers; and ability to interact with children and parents.

DIRECTOR OF FREEWAY STUDENT MINISTRY

Christ Church is seeking a full-time Director of Freeway Student Ministry to welcome and lead students into a deep and meaningful understanding of Christian discipleship. 
 
Thirty-five students participate in Freeway. Opportunities for students include weekly youth group, middle- and high-school small groups, local service opportunities, participating in praise worship, plus retreats and mission trips throughout the year.
 
The director of Freeway connects students with Jesus and with the ministries of Christ Church. This person serves closely with the Pastor of Schools and Families to connect fourth- and fifth-grade students to Freeway, coordinates and leads a dynamic confirmation path for middle school students, and helps students to grow in their faith as disciples of Jesus Christ. 
 
The director of Freeway also recruits and works closely with many lay servants who come together to lead Freeway and model a strong sense of Christian discipleship for the students. 
 
The successful candidate will have experience in student ministry, a college degree, a proven ability to build relationships with students and adults, and a familiarity with the ministry and theology of the United Methodist Church.
