Studying scripture is an important part of growing in our relationship with God. We have many small groups at Christ Church that meet regularly for study, friendship, and support. We also offer classes and seminars that go deeper into the Bible.

There are many small groups which meet for Bible study each week. We have groups for men, women, mixed, couples, and more. Small groups are place to connect with others you'll walk through life with, growing your faith in community. Click here for a list of groups. 


TREK | running the race of faith

Pastor Brett Opalinski invites you to deepen your relationship with the Bible and your foundational Christian beliefs with this series of classes. No matter where you are on your faith journey, these classes offer a way for you to run faithfully with God, to keep growing. Come as often as you can; you are encouraged to attend every session but are welcome to choose classes of interest. What would it be like to have money left over after you pay all of the bills?  Find out in this class led by Fred Scarbrough.  It’s called Financial Peace University. You can take control of your money and start planning for your future with this course developed by personal finance guru Dave Ramsey. You know the words of the Lord’s Prayer, but do you know how the prayer Jesus taught can help you deepen your prayer life?  This course will help you pray more intentionally and understand intercession, disappointment, listening to God and spiritual warfare. Divorce Care

DIVORCECare is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. Your DIVORCECare experience begins each week as your group watches a video seminar on DVD. The DIVORCECare videos cover topics essential to your recovery from the hurt of separation or divorce. The videos are produced in a compelling television magazine format featuring topics ranging from financial survival to depression to reconciliation. Child care is available. Cost of the books is $15. Explore the most life-changing book ever written, the Bible! We'll cover topics such as: how we got the Bible, creation, history and overview of the Old Testament, God's covenants with his people, prophecy in the Bible, the beautiful poetic works found in scripture, overview of the New Testament, Jesus' ministry as recorded in the Gospels, letters written to the early Christian church, writings about the end times, and more! Experience God’s peace and hope when you pray alongside other moms. Katy Ferrando and Manuela Boynton will gather moms together to pray for God to transform children and schools. This year they will meet on October 19, November 16, January 18, February 15, March 15, April 19 and May 17 in the Freeway Room, aka Fellowship Hall 4.

Grandmothers who want to replace anxiety and fear with peace and hope are invited to join other women to pray specifically and scripturally for children and schools. Email  leaders Diane Kanell or Pam McKinnon to learn more or sign up to attend.

three consecutive tuesdays | october 3, 10 and 17 | 6:30-8:30pm
Join us for this class where we'll assess our spiritual gifts, talents and abilities, resources, individual style, dreams and experiences… all adding up to an enhanced capacity to serve God and neighbor.  We use the workbook guide Serving from the Heart by Yvonne Gentile and Carol Cartmill. This class will be taught by Martha Luzinski.
