Licensing and Accreditation
The Early Learning Center is licensed by the Broward County Division of Child Care Licensing Enforcement (license #46371). This governing agency randomly visits the center to inspect children’s records and immunizations, teacher-to-child ratios, staff qualifications, safety and health inspections, and daily schedules.
The Broward County Division of Child Care Licensing Enforcement has guidelines and standards for all licensed child care centers. Accreditation requires higher standards. The Early Learning Center has chosen to be accredited by UMAP, The United Methodist Association of Preschools. This accreditation requires lower teacher-to-child ratios, higher degree of education for lead teachers, and a more defined curriculum.
The Early Learning Center is a Gold Seal Quality Care program, as determined by the Florida Department of Children and Families. This recognition acknowledges that the Early Learning Center and child-care facilities like it are accredited by nationally recognized agencies whose standards reflect quality in the level of care and supervision provided to children.
