Protection Policy

Christ Church makes every effort to creative a safe, protected environment for our children and youth.

One way we do this is with the Child/Youth Protection Policy (CYPP). In June 1997, Christ Church implemented a "Reducing the Risk" policy. The Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church has also developed a Child/Youth Protection Policy, required for all churches in our Conference.  Our CYPP combines the two policies into one. If the requirements of one policy are more protective than the other, the higher level of protection is the policy we utilize; providing a safe and secure environment for children and youth is our primary concern.

A complete copy of the Child/Youth Protection Policy and a Child/Youth Protection Worker Application Packet may be obtained from the Children’s office.

All adult paid staff and all adults who works with or volunteer with children must go through a fingerprinting and screening process and attend an annual Child/Youth Protection Policy Meeting.
